Cotton soaks up sweat and holds on to it. The Tempo is cut from a super-elastic nylon that wicks moisture away from your skin and dries fast between efforts, so you're not stuck in something heavy and damp for the rest of the session.
The stretch moves the moment you do, through a sprint, a set of pull-ups or a long easy run, without riding up or restricting your arms. The athletic, short-sleeve fit stays close without clinging. After the workout it's light enough to keep on through the cooldown and the walk home, and it layers under a zip jacket on cold mornings.
