Round Face
If your face is roughly as wide as it is long with soft, curved edges, you want frames that add definition — not more curve. Angular and geometric shapes (square, rectangle, wayfarer-style) create contrast against soft features and sharpen the whole look.
Square Face
Strong jawline, strong forehead, defined angles. The move here is softening, not matching. Round or oval frames balance out the angles instead of competing with them. Avoid anything boxy — it'll double down on the squareness rather than flattering it.
Oval Face
The good news: oval faces are the most versatile, and nearly every frame shape works. The real risk is oversized frames that overwhelm smaller features. Stick to a size proportional to your face and you're set.
Heart-Shaped Face
Wider forehead, narrower chin. Frames that are wider at the bottom — or that have detailing lower on the lens — help balance the proportions. Aviators and cat-eye styles both tend to work well here.
Long Face
