Highland Tartan Blanket Scarf

The Highland is a true blanket scarf — a full 59 x 59 inch square, big enough to fold into a triangle and wrap twice, or to open out across your shoulders as a shawl when the evening turns cold. The acrylic-blend weave has a brushed, cashmere-soft hand that stays light for its size, and the tasseled edges keep all that fabric from reading heavy. Over a camel coat or a black puffer, the red plaid does the work a whole outfit usually has to.

It doubles as a travel wrap on a cold flight and a throw at home, which is why it rarely goes back in the drawer between October and March.
